World Summit for Young Entrepreneurs Honors XanGo With Prestigious Corporate Social Responsibility Award
Lehi, Utah — May 18, 2006— XanGo, LLC was presented with the prestigious Corporate Responsibility Award by Sujit Chowdhury, Secretary General, World Summit of Young Entrepreneurs of the United Nations at XanGo’s corporate offices in Utah. XanGo’s selection for this award was originally announced in March at the 10th World Summit of Young Entrepreneurs (WSYE) in Sao Paolo, Brazil. The Corporate Social Responsibility Award honors and recognizes XanGo’s contributions to society’s benefit both nationally and internationally, and making a significant impact on the lives of others.
The Corporate Social Responsibility Award was one of five prestigious awards, awarded in Brazil to companies that demonstrate and best exemplify the qualities and characteristics of each award. Secretary General Chowdhury traveled to Utah Monday, May 15, 2006 to present the award personally to XanGo’s founding partners and Chairman of XanGo Japan, Beverly Hollister.
During the presentation, Secretary General Chowdhury described how thrilled the WYSE was to honor such a young company whose commitment to goodness and charitable causes has been in the forefront of their business since they began. “XanGo’s social responsibility is genuinely a part of who they are, and that is truly what this award is honoring,” said Chowdhury.
THE WYSE provides a platform for global entrepreneurs in emerging markets such as Japan, to demonstrate their leadership and learn how to maximize their greatest potential through entrepreneurial joint ventures.
T“XanGo is honored to receive the Corporate Responsibility Award from this admirable group of global entrepreneurs and business leaders. As an international company generating tremendous growth, XanGo believes in actively supporting the nations and communities where the company does business. As we grow our Asian markets, we will look for philanthropic opportunities, including medical expeditions and humanitarian efforts, that will be central to our company mission,” commented Beverly Hollister during the presentation. Hollister is overseeing the development of the newly opened XanGo Japanese market.
